Alternative Spring Break Outreach (ASBO) is a student-developed, student-led community service organization dedicated to promoting civic engagement, self-reflection, social activism, and lifelong learning. Through immersive, peer-led service trips, students build connections with one another and with communities across the country. These experiences foster personal growth and a deeper awareness of social issues.
Since launching its first week-long spring break service trip in 2006, ASBO has expanded to include local volunteer experiences throughout the fall and spring semesters on Long Island. Over the past 20 years, more than 500 students have participated in these meaningful service opportunities across the U.S.
We are currently raising funds to make our Spring Break 2027 trip more accessible by reducing participation costs. We believe that no student should be denied the chance to serve because of financial constraints.
Your generosity can help remove these barriers and ensure more students have the opportunity to lend a hand while making a lasting impact in communities that need it most.
