Our graduate students are on a mission to pursue big ideas and solve urgent challenges. Participating in fellowships allows them to focus on their work and provides insight into research topics across disciplines.

The Graduate School currently provides fellowships to doctoral students to complete their dissertations in order to support their research and access to necessary resources. Stony Brook University’s reputation as a research institution is directly connected to the work of doctoral students and how they represent the institution in their respective fields. As Stony Brook continues to earn recognition for involvement in critical research and technological innovations, it is important to maintain and improve funding sources through external donations.
