The Black and Latino Alumni Network is committed to advancing Stony Brook University’s core mission of educational excellence through diversity. We believe that when students from historically underrepresented and underserved backgrounds are supported, the entire campus community benefits. The Black and Latino Alumni Network Endowed Scholarship was created to help make that vision a reality. This scholarship supports full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, financial need and a commitment to civic engagement, leadership and service to historically marginalized communities. A key goal of this scholarship is early and lasting impact. Therefore on Giving Day, your contribution will:

• Increase scholarship support for high-achieving students with demonstrated financial need.
• Reduce non-tuition financial burdens that disproportionately affect underrepresented students.
