Health Science Fund for Excellence

The Health Sciences major is the second-largest undergraduate major on campus. Our institutional data reveals that 83 percent of students in the major received aid to help fund their education. A staggering 50 percent of those students qualified for a Pell Grant, a grant reserved for students who display exceptional financial need.

Your generous support last Giving Day helped purchase additional iPads that students can use to assist with conducting original research.

We are proud to share that we had 22 students conduct original research and present at Stony Brook University’s School of Health Professions Research Day, April 30, 2025.

• One student was selected to present her original research at the peer-reviewed 2025 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference.
