About

Help Us Continue Creating Opportunity and Impact

At the College of Business, 37 percent of our undergraduates are Pell-eligible and 40 percent are first-generation college students. For these students, opportunity can change the trajectory of an entire family. Your support on Giving Day helps us continue offering transformative programming that amplifies their academic experience, prepares them to enter the workforce immediately and advances Stony Brook’s mission of upward social mobility.

Your gift helps us continue funding high-impact experiential learning, including:

  • Industry site visits to leading global organizations based in New York City and the metro New York area, such as Travelers Insurance, Morgan Stanley, Miami International Holdings Inc. and UBS.
  • Competition participation in events such as our Annual Accounting Case Competition and the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
  • Semester-long student consulting projects with leading companies in finance and strategy, such as Broadridge, Teachers Federal Credit Union and Level Up Ventures.
  • Hands-on service experiences, including partnering with local food banks and libraries to provide free tax preparation to low-income communities and financial literacy programs to adults and families.

Every gift has a direct and meaningful impact.

Invest in a student. Invest in the future.
