Stevenson's School of Education emphasizes strengths-based approaches and supports candidates who are prepared to meet the myriad needs of students. We focus on community building initiatives and mentorship programs to help teacher candidates feel supported and remain in the profession. Our candidates are embedded in schools throughout their entire time at Stevenson, including their very first year. These early field experiences allow them to build long-term relationships with faculty, students, and mentors before they even graduate.
The School of Education invites you to support the creation of our new SMART Room, an innovative learning space that prepares future teachers for today’s classrooms. Your gift will help fund technology such as interactive display panels, iPads, and classroom simulation software that allows teacher candidates to practice real-world instructional and classroom management strategies.
