Here We Go Saints 2026

Records are made to be broken! With 3,107 donors, Here We Go Saints 2026 has officially set a new St. Lawrence record for the most donors in any online campaign, breaking the previous mark held since 2018! Thank you to the alumni, families, faculty and staff, students and friends who combined for a new HWGS dollar total of $796,024.

This was year six of our athletic donor drive, and it has obviously become an incredible driver of philanthropy, engagement, and connection across generations of Saints. The momentum provided by Barry ’69 and Pat Phelps ’69, P’96 is absolutely critical, as their challenge provides a launchpad for energy and unity around our student-athletes. Thank you to the Phelps Family, as well as all of our advocates that offered matches and challenges this year that pushed us to new heights.

The “Scarlet & Brown Rewards” have been finalized, with seven teams earning bonuses across those categories. Congratulations to Coach Mary Drueding and the Saints Riding team, who again racked up an incredible 550+ donors and claimed three of the categories, while head Coach Chris Downs and the women’s basketball team are the first program in our history to land in the top-3 in all four categories!

Kudos to softball, women’s hockey, alpine skiing, Esports, and women’s lacrosse who also landed bonus bucks, while men’s lacrosse is the first program to ever surpass the $100,000 during HWGS. Congratulations Coach Mahoney, and thank you to the team’s challengers Taylor Gerhardt ’14, Jordan Gray ’95, P’26, and Trustee Emeritus David and Joan Officer ’67!

Thanks also to Bill Carter ’56, who issued leadership challenges for men's hockey, women's hockey, Alpine skiing and Nordic skiing, motivating donors for all four teams to raise a combined $208,179!

Finally, a total of 11 programs reached their Young Alumni Challenge goals and the students helped unlock $15,000 from Bob Rich ’89 towards Saints Nation, an initiative aimed at enhancing the in-game student-athlete experience.

Thank you to our University colleagues in Athletics and Communications, who partner with Advancement to make Here We Go Saints Challenges a success. We’re excited to join you in cheering on the Saints throughout the 2026-27 seasons, but until then, the records have fallen!

It’s official: Here We Go Saints 2026 is now in contention to break the University record for the most donors in SLU Athletics Giving Day history! 

With over 2,795 Laurentians waving the St. Lawrence flag with pride, we are now 195 donors away from topping last year’s record-setting total donor count.

Generous Laurentians have helped unlock a total of $70,000 for the Saints through the Phelps Family Challenge! Our coaches, student-athletes, and the entire Laurentian Community are so grateful for all the Phelps Family has done for St. Lawrence, including leading the way during Here We Go Saints once again.

Over 1,500 Donors have brought “15th Hole Energy” to HWGS 2026!

Support during the Here We Go Saints 2026 Challenge helps propel our teams in the standings, while also showcasing that the Laurentian Network has their backs. It’s what Saints Nation is all about: creating positive energy and atmosphere at athletic contests to enhance our student-athlete experience.

The Saints men’s golf recently claimed the 2026 SLU Invitational crown over the likes of Clarkson, NYU, Hobart and more in front of an…enthusiastic…Saints Nation crowd of classmates and friends. Check out some highlights here!

Check it out! We hit our stride in the afternoon shift and have reached 1,000 donors to close out the Phelps Family Challenge, unlocking the full $50,000 for Saints Athletics. That’s a lot of cheddar in our mitts! What a top shelf performance so far. That said, we have more to accomplish, so let’s block out any interference and move forward together. Period.

What an advantage it is to have 900+ donors showing love for the Saints (and no, that isn’t a backhanded compliment!). Thank you for rallying around our student-athletes; who knows, we may even break a record? Finally, be sure to let us know if you’d like to set up a match that doubles your impact!

We’re not horsing around this year! The Saints are looking to harness the momentum of 800+ donors with quite a bit of time remaining in HWGS 2026. That said, don’t halt! Instead, make it rein, as gifts of all sizes truly amount to a big impact.

We couldn’t decide whether to recognize 6 or 700 donors, so we just pick-and-rolled with it. The benchmark has been set high this year, but Laurentians from coast-to-coast are taking charge and have unlocked $35,000 for Saints Athletics thanks to the Phelps Family Challenge. OH! And-1 more thing: give-and-go get friends and teammates to support HWGS today!

We’re in our Here We Go Saints ERA and having a ball with our annual puns! We had to double check our count, but we are indeed halfway to unlocking the full Phelps Family Challenge. That said, giving up is foRBIdden! Don’t be caught looking: make your gift before the cutoff at 8 p.m. ET tomorrow.
