Here We Go Saints: Let’s Give it Our All!

"Here We Go Saints 2023" is underway! Join fellow Laurentians and Saints faithful in our shared goal: to support and enhance the student-athlete experience.
Every Laurentian can participate and make an impact; gifts of all sizes count towards Saints teams’ participation goals and 100% of funds benefit student-athletes. Barry ’69 and Pat Hitchcock Phelps ’69 return with “The Phelps Challenge,” offering $5,000 for every 100 collective donors, with the goal of raising $50,000 (1,000 donors) for the Saints! The Phelpses didn’t stop there as they’re once again offering “Saintly Rewards”: the five teams with the highest participation rate will unlock additional bonuses, with the top team receiving $5,000.00!
To thank our loyal donors, we’re back with new “Scarlet and Brown Incentives" that will get you game-day ready. From custom laces to a full Saints Fan Pack, donors will be ready to cheer in style. See the Incentives section below for details and be sure to select your Scarlet and Brown incentive at checkout.

*Please Note: Offline gifts will be counted after the close of the giving day to ensure accuracy. "Saintly Reward" goals are calculated by using 30% of a team's solicitable alumni base, though gifts from all constituents (i.e. alumni, parents, students) count towards these goals.
Wow.
Thank YOU so much for making "Here We Go Saints 2022" one of the most successful donor drives in University history! Over 2,600 donors combined for $557,108 in just 35 hours for our student-athletes. Your impact will be immense, and the Laurentian Community should be incredibly proud of this achievement.
One more round of applause for Barry '69 and Pat Phelps '69, P'96 for being generous advocates for Saints Athletics.
After final tabulations, we are excited to share the top-6 teams in our "Saintly Rewards," and offer congratulations to Coach Drueding and the Riding team for trotting away with the top prize of $3,500. Truly the best in show!
Rowing made a strong push, finishing in 2nd place followed by Men's Basketball, Softball, and Women's and Men's Hockey, respectively. Congratulations to these programs on a fantastic showing!
The Victory Bell is ringing to close this year's "Here We Go Saints" Challenge. Thank you again for your support, and we look forward to cheering on the Scarlet and Brown alongside you soon.

The final hour of "Here We Go Saints 2022" is upon us! Good luck to our teams, THANK YOU to our donors, and let's settle in for a photo finish for the "Saintly Rewards!"
Note: No need to try any funny business with multiple gifts. Our ballot box counters are ready and watching, and while the extra $$ is appreciated, it's one gift per person :o)
With the Chapel Bells of Gunnison ringing in the North Country, we turn back to the "Saintly Rewards" leaderboard, where the top-5 remained steady and a new squad emerged into 6th place. Field Hockey is now in the "Bonus Bucks" just ahead of softball and men's lax, while it's bit-and-bow between Riding and Rowing for the top spot!
Hail Alma Mater, and GO SAINTS!
With about 6.5 hours remaining in "Here We Go Saints 2022," it's the Saints Riding team in the lead by a nose with a few turns to go! Can Coach Drueding and the riders hold off the passionate base of Rowers? Can Women's Hockey breakaway? Can a team outside the top-6, like Fran's Field Hockey squad, find its way into the "Bonus Bucks?"
Let's see if anyone makes a bold move, Cotton, and see if it pays off for them!

On behalf of a grateful Laurentian Community, we would like to thank Barry '69 and Pat Hitchcock Phelps '69, P'96 for their remarkable support of St. Lawrence Athletics and "Here We Go Saints 2022." Their creativity and generosity helped spark both "The Phelps Challenge" and "Saintly Rewards," as they believe in the mission of athletics and the value it adds to both the lives of students as well as a vibrant campus.
"The Phelps Challenge" helped set new benchmarks for our athletic donor drive, with 1,500 donors and over $400,000 raised with hours remaining before the finish line.
But we're FAR from done, Saints. Now, it's time to compete, as "Saintly Rewards" await the Top-6 teams based on donor participation towards goal when the challenge ends at 8 p.m. ET.

Aw Saints! Generous donors continue to serve up success and foster net gains for the Scarlet and Brown. We hope Laurentians continue to be aces tomorrow and bump our tallies to new heights. It was a tall order, but thank you to those who have set our student-athletes up to thrive!
Our donors continue to fill buckets for Saints student-athletes! Gifts have come from beyond the arc all day, and teams are competing hard for the "Saintly Rewards." Feeling Downs that your team hasn't traveled into the Top-6 just yet? There's still plenty of time to rebound before 8 p.m. ET tomorrow!

What a sprint today has been, with 1,100 donors vaulting us beyond our original goal! It's another 5k from "The Phelps Challenge: Part II," and the baton has passed towards the next leg of our race. Team Cheer for a fast start out of the blocks on Day 1.
But never forget, Saints: you ALWAYS race through the finish line!
We have BREAKING NEWS coming from campus! Barry and Pat Hitchcock Phelps were so impressed with the tenacity and excitement they saw throughout the day that they have decided to post a "Part II" to their Challenge!
To continue to help build momentum for the Saints, the Phelpses are pushing their commitment up to $75,000 (up to 1,500 donors). This donor total would be higher than last year's inaugural "Here We Go Saints," keep the "Saintly Rewards" competitive and set a new bar for the Scarlet and Brown.
We're yet to find a hurdle, jump, net or pun that we can't overcome!
For the Saints...
What a blue ribbon performance from the Laurentian Community today! In a span of several hours, with not a bit of time wasted, 1,000 donors said "YES!," not "NEIGHHHH!," to St. Lawrence student-athletes and coaches. We've still got over 24 hours to go, so saddle up and keep making it rein!

Over 900 donors. Nearly $245,000. And the Chapel Bells haven't even played yet! No reason to slow down, the 3rd base coach is waving us home. Which donors are next to come out of the bullpen and earn their stripes? Let's find out!
The Saints are owning the trenches, with back-to-back Saints Goals to bring our total to 800+ donors before today's practice even starts on the gridiron. No reason to punt making a gift, because at this rate, the Saints could...go...all...the...WAY!
Take a bow! Another Saints Goal with 600+ total donors having supported St. Lawrence Athletics. Those yet to give may need a stern message, because the Saints rowing team is giving it their Power 10. Closing in on 700: Ready oar Not!
IT'S A SAINTS GOAL! (Cue Appleton Siren) Since the opening face-off, donors have been lighting the lamp for St. Lawrence athletics today! THANK YOU to the 500+ Donors, who collectively have raised over $140,000 for student-athletes. Icing on the cake? A photo of a goal vs. our Route 11 Rivals.
No intermissions here: back to it, Saints!
Over forehundred donors have teed us up for early success! Thank you to those who didn't putter around this morning despite a long drive to work. Next on the tee? 500 donors!
A third Saints Goal means $15,000 raised in the first hour of "Here We Go Saints 2022. As a famous anchorman once pointed out, "that escalated quickly!" Needless to say, we're always so happy when student-athletes call St. Lawrence home. Over 300 donors have stepped up to the plate already, but it's time to double down and knock this out of the park!!

Wow! At this rate, the Saints are going to squash "Here We Go Saints 2022!" (don't worry, we assure you that isn't a backhanded compliment). A second Saints goal means another $5,000 from "The Phelps Challenge." Let's rack(et) up the gifts and head towards Goal #3!

We have our first SAINTS GOAL of the year, with 100 donors having supported St. Lawrence athletics to unlock $5,000 of The Phelps Challenge. Don't worry: the early start doesn't earn a penalty corner...

OK everyone, "Here We Go Saints 2022" is ready to get underway! This is what we've prepared for. We need to rely on and believe in each other to reach our goal. Starting at 9 a.m. ET on September 13, we push right to the finish at 8 p.m. ET on September 14. Every Laurentian can support our 35 teams, even using Venmo, PayPal or Google Pay. Gifts of all sizes matter, and they count towards BOTH "The Phelps Challenge" and the "Saintly Rewards."
So suit up in your Scarlet & Brown, because it's game time!
