Each year, the senior class leaves a legacy on the St. Lawrence campus by raising money for a meaningful fund or project. Past projects include scholarships and internship funds, the flag pole near the Sullivan Student Center, and greenery planted due to the collective fundraising effort of the seniors. It's a way to give back to the University and leave it a little better than we found it.
The Senior Class Council is excited to announce that this year's senior class gift will raise money for the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity Fund! This fund supports Offices like Academic Advising, HEOP, McNair, CSTEP, Accessibility and Disability Services, and the FYP which make an impact on students of all identities to have a successful St. Lawrence career.
If you are able to donate $10 by April 9th, you will receive an honor cord to wear at Commencement recognizing your giving. You can give multiple times, so if $10 is not doable at one time, you can donate as many times as you need to in order to reach the $10 honor cord threshold.
When making your gift, please know that you make it “In Honor of” someone (still living) or “In Memory of” someone (who has passed). This is another meaningful way to make an impact with your giving.
Here We Go Saints!
Hi all-
If you were unable to pick up your cord and are on campus, please let Beth Dixon know what your SMC # is. She is hoping to put those in your campus mailboxes in the next couple of days. Beth's email address is: ecdixon@stlawu.edu
If you are remote and would like a cord mailed to you (understanding it likely won't make it in time for Commencement), please let Beth know what your mailing address is.
If you are returning to campus for Commencement, reach out to Beth to find a time where you can meet with her if you would like an honor cord.
Thank you all so much for your support! At this time we are no longer accepting donations for cords, but if you know of classmates who would like to add to the class gift, let them know they can donate here: https://alumni.stlawu.edu/make...
1912 days ago by Beth DixonIf you have not yet picked up your giving cord, today is the last day to do so! Beth Dixon, Associate Director of Annual Giving, will be in the Student Center from 11:30-2:30 today passing out cords to those that gave by the deadline of April 9th.
If you have any questions, email her at ecdixon@stlawu.edu
1912 days ago by Beth DixonIf you have made a gift of $10+ you can pick up your giving honor cord at the 1856-Minute Challenge table in the Student Center on Wednesday, April 7th (from 9:00am-7:00pm) and Thursday, April 8th (from 9:00am-5:00pm). There will also be one last opportunity to pick up your cord on Monday, April 12th from 11:30-2:30 in the Student Center.
*You cannot pick up a cord for a friend.
*You only get this one cord; so if you lose it you don't get another one!
Finally, if you have given to the Senior Class Gift, your gift will be counted in the 1856-Minute Challenge! Unless you would like to continue to support SLU, please note that you do not need to donate again to count as a donor or to receive your cord (unless you haven't reached the $10+ threshold).
