Get ready to put your capes on, Laurentian Heroes: The 1856 Challenge: Volume IX, Powered by Laurentians is here! Alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and students are set to assemble, with the goal of maximizing $250,000 in matches and challenges thanks to our “Trusty Trustees,” who are back to showcase the impact of our collective generosity.
Our Trustees have committed to matching all St. Lawrence Fund gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $150,000. Meanwhile, help us unlock $50,000 in additional support at the halfway mark (928 donors) and if we reach 1,856 donors before 8:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. That’s an additional $100,000 to the St. Lawrence Fund if we reach our goal.
Nothing is certain without support from all corners of the Laurentian Universe! Help us achieve our goals and unlock $250,000 to support our students and St. Lawrence.

With a flurry of gifts down the stretch, our alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students banded together to rally past the goal of 1,856 donors!
Our team is calculating the final tally, but one thing is crystal clear: St. Lawrence is fortunate to have such a loyal, generous community. For the second consecutive year, you've collectively raised over $1,000,000 for St. Lawrence and our students during the 1856 Challenge!
To our University Trustees, the Alumni Executive Council, and each of our advocates who offered matches and challenges: Thank you for answering the call from Professor Flex, Coach Core, Alumni Alex, and Sir Nibbles.
Before we sign off for the night, we’re honored to share the list of Laurentian Heroes that donors identified. Thank you for your support, and recognizing these deserving Laurentians.

The true power of the St. Lawrence Fund is its flexibility. Every gift, no matter the amount, allows St. Lawrence to support the everyday, the unexpected, and the extraordinary. The impact of donor gifts is felt across campus by each and every student and employee.
With our goal within our sights, the clock ticking down, and the Chapel Bells of Gunnison ringing across campus, it’s time to say… “Laurentians Assemble!”
