McEntegart Digital Archives for All

The McEntegart Library’s archive houses special collections and unique documents, many dating back to the founding of SJC over a century ago. Photographs and papers too fragile for handling are being scanned as part of preservation efforts. Purchase of a digital display screen will enable us to exhibit these treasures in the entrance to McEntegart Hall, fostering an awareness among the college community of the rich heritage of SJC and Brooklyn. Artifacts range from very personal memorabilia of alumni including class rings, charms, and scrapbooks to college publications such as course catalogs, student literary magazines, and commencement programs. A display screen will enable the rich past of the college and the tireless efforts of the Sisters of St. Joseph to be immortalized for current students and for generations to come.
