Today we’re going ALL IN for the PREP! 🦅
St. John's Prep Giving Day is HERE! There's just one question...are YOU in?!
Giving Day is about all of us—alumni, parents, grandparents, trustees, faculty and staff, students, and friends—coming together for 24 hours on March 13 to support St. John’s.
Every dollar raised goes to the Fund for St. John's, which directly benefits our nearly 1,500 Eagles. Your donation fuels priorities like the arts, athletics, faculty professional learning, student growth, tuition assistance, and the Prep’s greatest needs. And with Giving Day matching challenges to increase your impact, there’s no better day to go ALL IN!
It was another historic St. John’s Prep Giving Day, with donors across the country raising life-changing support for our students!
In 24 hours, nearly 1,300 donors raised more than $600,000 for the Fund for St. John’s, beating last year’s total donors and dollar amount. Success like that doesn’t happen without the dedication of hundreds of people who love St. John’s Prep.
To our donors—we are blown away by your generosity and commitment to the Prep. Whether you gave $5 or $75,000, each and every gift is deeply appreciated. Together, your collective support makes an impact on every one of our nearly 1,500 students. Thank you.
To our matching challenge donors—Tony Bond ’02, Ed and Aletta Bond P’02 ’03 ’05, Lori and Jay Burke ’82 P’13, Noah and Kate Caruso P’29, Barb and John Crowley P’17 ’20, Stuart Meurer and Susan Bragg Meurer P’18 '21 '26, Maj. Gen. (R) Tom Needham ’60, Rosemary and Jim Phalen ’68, and Lorraine and Mike Riley ’88—this day simply would not have been possible without your contributions. Thank you for inspiring our community to rally behind your incredible generosity.
And to everyone who helped spread the word about SJP Giving Day—following along on social media, sharing the campaign with your network, and encouraging family and friends to participate—we are very grateful!

SJP community, we are making history yet again! With six hours still left this Giving Day, we just smashed last year’s 900 donor total. WOW!
Thank you to Board Chair Stuart Meurer and Susan Bragg Meurer P'18 '21 '26 and Maj. Gen. (R) Tom Needham ’60 for helping to inspire 250 new donors with their $20,000 challenge.
945 donors so far and over $533,000 raised for Prep students. The only question remaining is—how high can we go before midnight?!

Nothing motivates SJP like a challenge. With 9 hours remaining, YOU can help St. John’s unlock $20,000 for Prep students! Whether you give $5, $20, or more, your participation will get us one donor closer to beating last year’s total of 900 donors. AND you’ll be joining the essential team that ensures our students have the resources they need to thrive.

The Prep community has answered the call once again, and together we unlocked the $75,000 matching challenge generously donated by Lorraine and Mike Riley ’88!
We’ve already raised over $330,000 from more than 570 alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, trustees, and friends of SJP! Special shout-out to the Class of 2014, who are currently in the lead with the most alumni donors.
There’s still 10 hours left to give today—let’s see how much farther we can go!

We crushed our first $50,000 matching challenge and have raised over $230,000 and counting for our Eagles! ✅
Can we meet an even BIGGER challenge? Prep alum Mike Riley ’88 and his wife Lorraine are ready to donate $75,000 to the Fund for St. John’s IF we can raise another $75,000 today! That’s $150,000 in life-changing support for our students.
We’re almost there, with just over $25,000 left to go. Giving Day is all about participation, and every gift will get us closer. Let’s go ALL IN!

Prep alum and Boston College head football coach Bill O’Brien ’88 knows a thing or two about teamwork. And today, he’s giving a little PREP talk to the St. John’s community about supporting Giving Day. Thank you for going ALL IN today, Coach!

Hot off the press: We just announced our first matching challenge! IF our community can raise $50,000, a group of alumni and parents will donate an additional $50,000 to the Fund for St. John’s! That’s a total of $100,000 directly benefiting Prep students.
Thank you to our $50,000 challenge donors for leading the way with their generosity: Tony Bond ’02, Ed and Aletta Bond P’02 ’03 ’05, Rosemary and Jim Phalen ’68, and Barb and John Crowley P’17 ’20!

The wait is over, and St. John’s Prep Giving Day has begun! Be among our first group of donors and help set the pace on this incredible day of generosity.
You can designate your gift to what matters most to you at the Prep. Choose from the Arts, Athletics, Faculty Professional Learning, Student Growth, Tuition Assistance, or the School’s Greatest Need. No matter what area you support, your gift will make an immediate impact on our Eagles!
