The St. Ambrose University Children's Campus provides a comprehensive early childhood program for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 6-years-old, resources for families and educational experiences for university students.
Back in 2008, the SAUCC Parent Council jumped right in and led efforts to move forward with the dream of creating a place where children could have positive experiences with nature. Their efforts let to the creation of the Children's Campus Nature Explore Classroom – one of the first in Iowa – a dynamic, nature-based outdoor space developed by research-based, field-tested design principles focusing on youth education and whole child development. This space allows children to explore and develop a connection to the natural world through engaging in open-ended play while enhancing the physical environment and adding natural beauty to the space.
Our goal this year is to revive our Nature Explore Classroom to continue to provide these incredible opportunities to connect with nature. In order to make this possible, we appreciate your support in helping us reach our fundraising goals!
