Every year, the history faculty at St. Ambrose University hosts the Richard Geiger Lecture.
Mr. Richard Geiger was a professor of ancient and medieval history at SAU for 39 years! When Mr. Geiger announced he was going to retire, loving alumni came together to raise money to establish a fund to bring in a speaker annually.
Since 2002, our campus has welcomed many renowned speakers, including professors, writers, and advisors to our history faculty. Even though Mr. Geiger passed away in 2016, the tradition carries on.
Your gift to the Geiger Fund on the Day of Giving will bring renowned speakers to campus, enriching our history department and continuing Mr. Geiger's legacy for years to come.
