St. Ambrose Campus Ministry offers a diverse range of worship, retreat, and service opportunities to help our students cultivate the values of faith, learning, and justice.
Faith: At Campus Ministry, we know that many of our SAU students are searching for a direct, personal encounter with God. To facilitate this encounter, Campus Ministry provides a variety of retreat opportunities, including our BEE-Connected Retreat for new students and our twice-yearly Antioch retreat, which has helped generations of SAU students form a lasting relationship with Christ. We also take trips to the annual SEEK conference for college students, giving our students the chance to hear from renowned Catholic speakers and meet other students that, like them, are on fire for their faith.
Learning: As students grow in faith, they discover that a true relationship with God is one of both heart and mind. At Campus Ministry, we have programs for every student seeking knowledge about God and the Catholic Church. Whether it is our Catholic and non-denominational Bible studies, our Ambrose40 Lenten spiritual program, our Order of Christian Initiation sessions, or our DΓa de los Muertos and Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrations, the opportunities to learn about the teachings of Christ and traditions of the Church are many.
Justice: Taking to heart the teaching that faith without works is dead, we encourage all of our students to imitate Christ by living lives of service to others. Through our Ambrosians for Peace & Justice group, students learn to serve those in need and advocate for those without a voice. Additionally, we provide regular local service opportunities with CafΓ© on Vine and Project Renewal, several Social Justice Leadership trainings throughout the year, and fall and spring service trips to locations in the United States and Latin America through Global Brigades.
Your gift to Campus Ministry will go to directly supporting all these programs that have so impacted our students and their spiritual growth.
As a sign of our thanks, donors of $100 or more will receive a blessed St. Ambrose candle. This handmade beeswax candle is made with the blessed wax from Christ the King Chapelβs own Easter candles. Formed in the likeness of St. Ambrose, patron saint of beekeepers, and infused with frankincense essential oil, this candle is a reminder of the light of Christ within all the students supported by your generous donation.
Thank you for your donation, and may God bless you!
