Russell Buckingham ‘01 Memorial Endowed Scholarship

About

This scholarship is in memory of the extremely talented and caring Russell Buckingham, ‘01, who inspired so many people with his voice in radio and his philanthropy.

As a radio DJ, he was known as Russell Rush, and was a great supporter of Make-A-Wish. He also organized the annual Roof-sit for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) to promote safe sleep patterns for infants in honor of his niece Caroline who passed away from SIDS in 2002.

Russell passed away in 2022 after a heroic battle with a rare form of cancer.

His friends and family began this scholarship to award annually an Ambrose student that goes above and beyond to use their voice and time to make their community a better place.
