Woven into the rich and long history of Springfield College is the East Campus Outdoor Learning Center experience, serving as the hub for the College’s full complement of adventure-based programming and academic curriculum.

This year our focus on Giving Day is to enhance our challenge course by adding a new high element, a climbing tower. This element is a four-sided tower (click the video above) that will offer our students, campers and community members an opportunity to challenge themselves at a pace they feel comfortable with.

What makes this Giving Day extra special though, is this year an anonymous donor, as their 50th reunion approaches has decided to make a lead gift towards this project. The donor will be matching dollar for dollar up to $25,000 and if we reach that goal an additional $25,000 will be unlocked. This donor claimed that their summers working at Camp Massasoit made a lasting impression and have been central in their fond memories of Springfield College. They are hopeful, and we have no doubt, that this new addition to our challenge course will create invaluable experiences for future Springfield College students and community members for generations to come.
