Gifts to Student Emergency Fund contribute to...
A recent national study found that 57% of college students have had to choose between paying for their education and meeting their basic needs. This Giving Day, weβre looking for 57 donors to step up and help remove that burden for students facing unexpected financial hardship.
At Springfield College, we believe in Humanics — educating students in spirit, mind, and body for leadership in service to others. When students face unexpected crises — housing instability, medical emergencies, or the loss of essential belongings — their ability to continue their education can be jeopardized.
The Student Emergency Fund ensures that a temporary setback does not become a permanent interruption. Your Giving Day gift provides immediate support so students can remain enrolled, focused, and continue to move toward their goals.

βDue to an unexpected financial hardship, I found myself unable to pay my rent, just as finals were ramping up. I was scrambling to sell possessions and still came up short. The Student Emergency Fund provided me enough to make up the rest of what I needed, allowing me to keep a roof over my head and complete the semester. Iβm incredibly grateful the support was available.β - Anonymous
"The Campus Life community truly helped me during a period of medical emergency and urgent financial need. One of the key ways the Student Emergency Fund assisted me was by covering expenses related to my medical emergencies, as well as most of my transportation and out-of-pocket medical costs. I deeply appreciate the Campus Life team for their compassion, understanding, and empathy in recognizing my situation and stepping in to provide support. As a student at Springfield College, I feel genuinely valued and supported because of this program. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.β - BTS
