About

Let's Meet the 2026 Builder Fund Goal
The Guardians of the 77 are back with an exciting end-of-the-fiscal-year match! Anonymous benefactors have offered up to $100,000 in matching pledges in support of the Builder Fund. The Guardians are hopeful that their challenge will encourage additional investment from Builders and friends of the college. Meeting the goal of this generous match will advance our effort to close the gap to fund critical year-end needs as we prepare for the new academic year ahead. Together, we can raise $200,000 to support the Builder Fund before June 24

Help hasten the pace of progress at Southwestern College
For the future, President Liz along with faculty, staff, and the Board of Trustees, continues to make steady progress on the priorities outlined in the college's five-year strategic plan, while maintaining a balanced budget and growing the endowment.

The plan focuses on continued growth in undergraduate and graduate enrollment and an improved student retention rate. To that end, the College has reestablished its Nursing Program, with the first cohort set to begin their second year in August and pre-nursing students enrolling as first-year students. The College continues progress in the provisional pathway to launch a Master of Science Physician Associate Program in Winfield at a downtown location, 800 Main Place, where phase 1 of renovations has been completed. Applications for entry to the program are actively being submitted, and progress is still on pace for the program to fully launch in January 2027. Again, this summer the college is taking on prioritized facility improvement projects across campus and looks to complete construction of the Bruce DeHaven Football Complex by the first home football game this Fall.

All institutional priorities are focused on strengthening Southwestern College in ways that will better attract and support the Builders of today and tomorrow – to continue progress, the College needs your support.
