The Valdry Center for Philanthropy (VCP) is an academically based research center focused on philanthropic studies and nonprofit management. VCP seeks to educate the socially conscious student, volunteer, and practitioner in the emerging field of philanthropic studies, through exploring the economic, historical, and philosophical rationales for voluntary action in the local, national, and international arenas.
The Valdry Center is guided by focusing on its seven strands of work: degree programs, social entrepreneurship fellows, faith-based programming, customized nonprofit capacity building, seminar and certificate programs, educational initiatives, and research. The Valdry Center addresses issues that have historically been left undiscussed in minority communities around the world.
