September 12-16, 2022 | #SNHUFoundersDay
To honor the 90th anniversary of our founding, we're asking individuals to come together in support of SNHU learners. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need YOU!
Your gift will provide critical scholarships, empower students to pursue their dreams ... and have an immediate impact!
Join the movement in three easy ways:
- GIVE - Donations of all sizes make an impact for SNHU students.
- ADVOCATE - Create a 'personal plea' video below and share on your social media networks to inspire your SNHU community.
- CHALLENGE - Motivate your friends with a match gift or challenge gift.
However you participate, YOUR generosity will ensure that more SNHU learners have access to scholarships they need to continue their education and transform their lives.
Thank you!
YOU helped us exceed our $90,000 goal! The 2022 Founders Day Giving Challenge ends at 11:59 pm ET. Share the campaign with your network to see how much more we can raise.

During this time of year, we’re reminded of the individual stories of learners who have faced insurmountable challenges while pursuing their dreams of a university education – many who succeed because of a little extra support. The Founders Day Giving Challenge provides an opportunity to help SNHU learners achieve their goals. Your gift helps students, like Lacie. Lacie lives in Oklahoma with her husband and nine children – yes nine! Currently, she works at a local law firm as a senior paralegal. Between her children, a full-time job and school, her life is very busy.
Lacie says, “I want to show my children that if something is important to you, you can do it – no matter what life throws your way. I have overcome many obstacles in my life. I overcame being a single teen mom in ninth grade, moving my family across the country at the start of the pandemic, juggling school-life and mom-life. I overcame the worst moment of my life in May 2020, when my 10-year-old daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer and hydrocephalus. Throughout my daughter’s three-month hospital stay, I kept up with my schoolwork from her hospital room. My schoolwork got me through that difficult time – it gave me something to focus on, something that I could control. It was the only sense of normalcy I was able to grasp on to. My advisors and instructors were so kind, gracious and forgiving. SNHU is a part of our family.”
Lacie was awarded the Online and Continuing Education Scholarship. With this scholarship she can breathe a little easier knowing she can purchase school supplies, guilt-free and focus on graduating. After she graduates from SNHU, Lacie plans to enroll in law school. She wants to advocate for victims of domestic-violence and help them to rebuild their lives. Lacie says, “SNHU is the steppingstone that will allow me to do that. Not only is a scholarship from SNHU helping me to get an education, it’s allowing me to set an example for my children. I can show them that if they work hard, they can do it too.”
As we watch the Manchester campus bustling once again with the activity of students, we’re inspired by the continued transformation of SNHU and the growth of our community. What began as a tiny privately funded accounting school in downtown Manchester serving 45 students is now a nonprofit university serving more than 165,000 learners across the globe! What hasn’t changed throughout the years since SNHU’s founding in 1932 is our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable and innovative pathways to meet the unique needs of every learner. As we celebrate SNHU’s 90th anniversary, we invite you to join us all in reflection of our rich history and anticipation of a bright future.
