About

Cancer has personally touched Springfield Plastics, Inc., and we are proud to support cancer awareness through Drain for the Cure!

Springfield Plastics started Drain for the Cure in 2014 following Lori Baker's diagnosis of stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer. Lori, a cherished family member, provided invaluable insights into cancer education, research, treatment options, and the daily battle against cancer. Tragically, Lori passed away in 2016 at the age of 34. Her journey inspires all to persevere in the fight for a cure and the eradication of cancer every day.

During the month of October, Springfield Plastics pledges to match donations up to $40,000 to benefit cancer research and programs at Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU School of Medicine.

Join us in supporting the fight for a cure! In 2024, we raised $144,000 for Simmons Cancer Institute! Since Drain for the Cure launched in 2014, Springfield Plastics has donated more than $1 million dollars toward cancer research!

Simmons Cancer Institute serves patients by addressing their present and future cancer care needs through medical education, biomedical research, patient care, and community service.
