Extended Campus works diligently to provide students across the nation with the opportunity to earn a degree from SIU no matter where they are in life or on the map by creating alternative pathways through off-campus and online program offerings.
Our efforts began in 1973 when SIU started serving students at military bases. Today, the university is at military bases and community colleges across the U.S. and offers dozens of online programs to meet the needs of the growing number of students seeking flexible options to earning a degree. We take great pride in and celebrate the achievement of the thousands of graduates that have joined our Alumni family through our distance education pathways. Our students display what it means to be a Saluki through their dedication and determination as many are working professionals, veterans or actively serving in the military while pursuing their degree.
Extended Campus’s mission is to position SIU as a pioneer of high-quality distance education options to increase the accessibility of higher education through innovative, technology-enhanced instruction. We believe in the power of education and are committed to not only providing students with increased quality education options, but also the support and resources they need to succeed.
