The SIU Leadership Development Program is designed to develop the next generation of technical leaders through leadership coaching, one-on-one and peer mentoring, and community service. You can start your path in the LDP as an SIU Sophomore or as a Transfer Student. Each starting point leads to the same destination, becoming a leader!
We are proud to be one of the few STEM colleges nationwide to offer a program that provides a direct bridge from classroom training to a successful career as a technical leader.
The Leadership Development Program was founded in 2006 by Dick Blaudow, an SIUC engineering alumnus and founder of Advanced Technology Services based out of Peoria, IL, and his wife, Brigitte.
With a focus on the vision, mission and core values that help guide our tradition of excellence, we have continued to expand and improve the LDP program.

Members of the Leadership Development Program (LDP) are expected to participate and lead various activities throughout their time at SIU. Fund raised support these student activities.
