Gifts to School of Business contribute to...
During Day of Caring, gifts to the School of Business will help provide real-world learning opportunities and access to scholarships. Priority funds include:
The School of Business Experiential Education Endowment Fund
The School of Business Fund
The School of Business Success Center Fund
The School of Business Endowment for Leadership Development
Dr. Doug’s Dare to be Great Award
The School of Business Endowment for Leadership Development created with a generous gift from Lindy Lee Gold, supports leadership development programming, including the School of Business Ambassadors Program and Student Advisory Board.
- Women’s Leadership Academy | Supporting the growth of a group of women students as future business leaders, the program provides opportunities to connect with each other, engage with successful businesswomen mentors, receive one-on-one coaching, and attend networking events, seminars, and workshops.
- IMPACT Greater New Haven | This nonprofit internship program shows students how to become active community contributors while providing them with paid community leadership experience. It is important for our business students, many of whom will continue to live and work in Connecticut, to have an appreciation for the great work nonprofits do to create a healthy, vibrant, and inclusive economy in our state and region.
- Conscious Capitalism | Conscious Capitalism is a way of thinking of how capitalism, corporate culture and business can have a positive impact on our world today while ensuring that all stakeholders benefit from their work. In partnership with Larry Bingaman, CEO and President of the South Central Regional Water Authority, Southern Connecticut State University’s School of Business implemented its goal of doing good while doing well by establishing the first student chapter of the Conscious Capitalism organization in Connecticut.
The School of Business Fund continues to transform lives of current business students by providing business education and research with a heavy focus on conscious capitalism, social justice, and sustainability. Gifts to the School of Business Fund provide a high-quality educational experience for students that prepare future business leaders.
