About

There are a number of ways to support students during a time of crisis or unexpected emergency. The student emergency relief provide immediate funding to students with unforeseen hardships that help them continue their education and fulfil their dream of a college degree. Current funds to support include:

The AAA Fund: The Academics, Administration & Alumni (AAA) Student Relief Fund is to provide short-term financial relief to students in need as determined by the AAA Committee. Gifts of $500 can be granted immediately to students who apply for assistance.

The Believe Fund: The Believe Fund provides emergency assistance to matriculated undergraduate or graduate students students within the College of Health and Human Services who are experiencing short-term, unanticipated finical hardship.

The BSU Emergency Fund: Southern's Black Student Union (BSU) was created in an effort to develop an Afro-American consciousness at SCSU, and to support the broadening enhancement of the social and cultural development of students--and in doing so-- promote general welfare of the university and the national community.
