College of Education Fund

Now, more than ever, Connecticut's communities need the kinds of well-prepared, big-hearted helping professionals that Southern's College of Education graduates each year. Regrettably, though, the costs associated with becoming classroom teachers, special educators, school psychologists, counselors, librarians/media specialists, and administrators have never been higher. Contributions to the College of Education Fund will help us to cover some of these costs for our students (e.g., fees associated with certification tests; expenses associated with learning to administer and score specialized assessments). Additionally, contributions to the College of Education Fund will help to defray the costs for our students – including those in our College's two doctoral programs – to present their research at academic conferences.
