SC State Softball has been on the climb since the 2021-2022 season. We have seen more wins each season as well as competing further into post-season. Thanks to social media, athletes today care about presentation of a program (facilities, gear, etc.) and how much social media attention and money they can earn while playing at a university. With the growing demand of NILs in college sports, to keep our program competitive we must consider paying our athletes.
Donations help with these things mentioned above. We want to grow our program and create a legacy just like SC State Football and SC State Men's and Women's Tennis have. With more successful athletic programs, more students will want to attend SC State. More students means more funding. We not only want to help our program but the university.
Improving our facility (more seating for fans, a new scoreboard, bathrooms at the field, etc.), payment for athletes, possible funding for an additional coach or grad assistant, more equipment & gear for the team. Students, staff, and fans will be impacted each donor's gift. The money raised, will be used to add additional seating for the softball games, a new scoreboard, more equipment and gear for the players, and increased coaching support.
