INVEST IN EXCELLENCE. INVEST IN HONORS.

Extraordinary Potential Deserves Extraordinary Opportunity.

At South Carolina State University, our Honors Scholars are among our most accomplished, ambitious, and promising students. They come to SC State ready to achieve—and through the Dr. Emily England Clyburn Honors College, we challenge them to go further: to think boldly, lead with purpose, serve their communities, pursue research, explore the world, and prepare for graduate school, professional careers, and lives of impact.

The Honors experience begins in the classroom—but it should never end there.

It is the research presentation that introduces a scholar to a future mentor. The national conference that expands a student’s vision of what is possible. The internship that opens the door to a career. The study-abroad experience that changes a worldview. It is leadership development, service, cultural enrichment, professional preparation, and meaningful connections that help transform talented students into confident, prepared leaders.

Your 1896 Challenge gift helps make those opportunities possible.

Every gift strengthens our ability to provide Honors Scholars with scholarships, research opportunities, internships, conference and professional travel, leadership development, cultural and global experiences, professional preparation, and other resources that allow them to thrive, compete, and represent SC State at the highest levels.

When you invest in HONORS, you invest in more than academic achievement.

You invest in future physicians, educators, engineers, researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, attorneys, public servants, and leaders. You invest in the next generation of SC State excellence.

This 1896 Challenge, help us ensure that extraordinary potential is met with extraordinary opportunity.

Invest in Excellence. Invest in Opportunity. Invest in HONORS.
