EVERY GIFT HAS POWER
Some gifts help students in need. Others enhance campus sustainability. But all gifts to Smith celebrate women who change the world.
This National Philanthropy Day, we're asking you to join the Smithies Give movement by making a donation to The Smith Fund.
Gifts to The Smith Fund have tremendous value. They support student passions. They inspire us to dream big. They sustain the facilities and programs that make Smith exceptional. Most important, they equip Smithies with an education that, as Sophia Smith envisioned, gives them the power to do "the greatest good to the greatest number."
HELP US FINISH STRONG
As we get closer to the culmination of our Women for the World campaign, we aim to raise $1,000,000 from 2,500 Smith alumnae, parents and friends. We need you to power Smith with your gift so Smithies change the world.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Please make your donation today using the link above or by calling us at 800-241-2056, option 1. The Smith Fund office will be open until 9 p.m. Eastern to take your call.
THANK YOU!

Just a quick update to let you know that we are still tallying up some offline activity from yesterday. We will announce our official totals on Thursday, 11/17.
The Smith Fund office is now closed, but you can bet we'll be watching closely from home tonight!
We will do a final update tomorrow morning with gift activity that happens on the Smith College giving form overnight, so even though you may see "final numbers" tonight at midnight Pacific Time, please know that we will be adding to that total in the morning to make sure that everyone who intended to be counted, is represented in the final figures.
Thank you for your continued support.
A big thank you to the generous member of the Class of 1979, who allowed us to keep her challenge open until we met the 1,000 donor threshold-- securing $125,000 for Smith!
Currently, there is just over $26,000 left in the dollar for dollar matching donation from Phoebe Reese Lewis '51 and we've just received another challenge-- Judy Olin Higgins '58 will give $250,000 if we can get to 2,500 donors by the end of the challenge! We have until 12 midnight Pacific Time to reach this milestone and with Smithies on our side, we know we can do it.
Any gift made right now will count for both of these challenges AND any class specific matches that are relevant (see left side bar).
Thank you for all your support thus far -- let's keep pushing to $1,000,000!!

2915 days ago by Smith CollegeThe Smithies Give campaign touches all areas of the Smith campus with multiple designations to choose from. If you're looking to support something in particular, please see below for further descriptions of the Smith Fund designations.
The Smith Fund (General)
The Smith Fund is a driving force on campus. A vital part of Women for the World: The Campaign for Smith,it sustains all that makes Smith exceptional and equips Smithies to realize their power for good. When you make a general donation to The Smith Fund, you powerfully and imminently impact Smith by helping us meet our most urgent needs.
Essential Smith
Being a Smithie means experiencing a thriving and diverse campus life. Donations to Essential Smith fund the financial aid of countless international, non-traditional, and financially disadvantaged students who make the Smith experience so meaningful. They also support the facilities and student organizations that make our community special. With your support, Smith's remarkable student body can continue to flourish on campus and beyond.
Smart Smith
At Smith, educating the 21st century mind happens in classrooms and
throughout the world. Contributions to Smart Smith support our students' impassioned pursuit of knowledge and creativity by sustaining the experiential and integrated learning opportunities, curricular innovations, fine arts and humanities, and world-class faculty that set Smith's academics apart.
Inclusive Smith
Smithโs community flourishes when it is as rich and diverse as the
world itself. When you give to Inclusive Smith, you support initiatives
that engage, connect, and embrace underrepresented students. More
importantly, you help create the shared sense of belonging that makes
Smith—and Smithies—strong.
Global Smith
Smith women impact the world at home and abroad every single day. By funding Global Smith, you facilitate the unique learning opportunities and internationally focused programming that prepare Smithies to affect change wherever life takes them.
Sustainable Smith
Stewarding resources wisely is part of what it means to lead a life
of distinction. Gifts directed to Sustainable Smith support our efforts
to maintain and innovate green practices throughout campus so that our footprint remains small as our legacy grows even stronger.
Resourceful Smith
A hub of activity on campus, Neilson Library is a unifying space
where teaching, learning, and community collide. Smith is in the midst
of advancing Neilson for 21st century students with extensive
renovations led by acclaimed designer Maya Lin. Be part of this exciting initiative by giving to Resourceful Smith.
Ada Comstock Scholarship
Throughout her life, Ada Louise Comstock 1897 demonstrated her
commitment to the education of women. Donations to Ada Comstock
Scholarship support the financial aid of a diverse group of women who faced the interruption of their education and have come to Smith to complete their experience. With your support, these remarkable students, ranging in age from their 20s to their 60s, can have the opportunity to fulfill their potential as part of the Smith community.
Want to give to something that you don't see listed here-- call The Smith Fund office at 800-241-2056 (option 1). Our office will be open tonight until 9 p.m. Eastern.
