About

At Saturday's Annual Gala & Auction, over 65 INTL families came together to raise  $370,000 for this year's Fund-a-Need - The Charlotte de Géry Endowment.  If you have not participated or were unable to attend the event, there is still time to help us reach the goal of $400,000! The campaign will end Friday, April 15th at 10:00 PM.

In 2007, Philippe Dietz originally spearheaded the creation of the Charlotte de Géry Endowment with the purpose of ensuring a long-term stable financial foundation. The full maturation of the Endowment would catapult our school into another quarter century of success, giving Philippe the gift of reassurance as he finally retires from the community he loves so much.

Our Endowment is a long-term investment in the school’s future. Gifts to the Endowment are usually larger than Annual Fund donations and can be paid over a period of a few years. Named after one of our school’s founders, the Charlotte de Géry Endowment Fund is dedicated towards her vision for the bilingual, bicultural student of the 21st century.

The mature Endowment would generate around $200,000 in interest each year, which would go directly into the budget. This funding will be put towards teacher salaries, to help us attract and retain the best teachers while balancing the cost of living here in Silicon Valley. The extra room in each year’s budget would also give us the flexibility to enrich your child’s education even more. We have added MakerEd and design thinking, enhanced our computer science program, as well as added VR and digital art, and parcours and outdoor learning spaces in the past few years alone. Just imagine what else $200,000 extra each year could do to further enrich your child’s experience at school.

So, let’s come together as a community and do this for our school – for our past, our present, and our future.

During his over two decades of service to Silicon Valley International School, Philippe Dietz has done so much to ensure the continued growth and success of our school.

Philippe says, “As I return to retirement, I inevitably look back, but I also think about the future of this school that means so much to me.

I have been able to see generations of students pass through our halls and the merger of two great schools, and my dearest wish is that many future generations of students will have this same opportunity for a bilingual, international education.”

So, let’s come together as a community and do this for our school – for our past, our present, and our future.

For what we have been, what we are now, and what we can be.

For our students, our teachers, and our community.
