The Shepherd L.E.A.D.S. program is a new initiative offered to incoming residential and commuter first-year and transfer Shepherd students to make connections and strengthen leadership skills. Your generous gift supports the funding for students to excel before their first semester begins by enhancing the student experience and providing scholarships for students who cannot afford to participate. This program, spearheaded by the Shepherd Student Success Center, is built around leadership, education, action, development, and service.
Shepherd L.E.A.D.S. will take place from August 9-17, 2023, and will allow 60 students to:
- Meet faculty and earn grades and feedback on college readiness
- Move into residence halls early
- Build relationships with peers and participate in service projects
- Get connected with campus resources before classes begin
- Make connections with staff
- Earn 1 credit for FYEX - a required Core Curriculum course for all students
