What is the Senior Gift?

The Senior Gift is a yearly tradition at Sewanee. For generations, students have come together to support the Senior Gift. You can designate your gift to fund scholarships, internships, Sewanee's most pressing needs, athletics, the arts, or countless other programs at the University. It's easy to give to what is most important to you!

What is $5 for 5 years?💜🐯

Celebrate your time at Sewanee by committing to an annual recurring gift of $5 for five years. It’s a small amount that makes a big difference for students today and for the next five years to come. This gift must come from you - your own dollars. Gifts made by parents or family members won’t count. As a special incentive, one lucky senior will have their parents allocated four VIP seats in All Saints’ Chapel for graduation. Because space does not permit parents inside All Saints’ Chapel during the ceremony, this is an exclusive and meaningful opportunity. Give back to what you love most about Sewanee and leave your mark on the place that shaped you.

Why give?

Do you love Sewanee and the incredible experiences you've had during your time here? Were you offered financial aid, a scholarship, or an internship stipend? Do you enjoy the exceptional work done by Sewanee's faculty and staff? The truth is that these things would not be possible without the support of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends. Only two-thirds of the University's operating budget comes from your tuition and fees. Without our generous donors, Sewanee would be forced to pull from its endowment and increase the cost of attendance in order to keep up.

Will my gift make a difference?

Without a doubt, your participation and support say far more than anything else you can do to show your commitment to Sewanee. The more alumni who give to Sewanee, the better Sewanee will look to foundations, other grant-awarding organizations, and national college ranking entities, which increases the value of your degree and allows generations of students to come to enjoy the Sewanee experience.
