Gifts to Habitat for Humanity contribute to...
The Habitat for Humanity chapter at Seton Hall University is one of the largest fundraising clubs on campus. The goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate homelessness as well as substandard housing throughout the world. Each year the club on campus takes about 30 students on a collegiate challenge trip in which we build houses for the homeless. During the school year, the club also works with the local affiliates in Morris and Passaic County to assist in the area. Through programming and advocacy about the organization, Habitat provides information to the community about the international housing crisis and the need to eliminate this problem.
We are fundraising to go on our annual Collegiate Challenge Trip. Fifteen to twenty Habitat Club members travel to a city outside of New Jersey to assist in volunteering to build affordable housing. In Spring 2023, we visited Clay County, FL, and in Spring 2022, we visited Boulder, CO. This week-long adventure is not only spent learning about construction but also working on individual and group growth. Members bond with one another while bettering the community.
We request funds for travel, food, and lodging costs. Please consider supporting our 2024 Collegiate Challenge Trip!
