The Setonian Centennial Celebration
Celebrating 100 years of The Setonian!
On March 19, 1924, the first edition of The Setonian was published. In the inaugural article, the author writes about the years-long trials and efforts faced to get the publication off the ground, with the hopes to put forth a periodical that represents the goings of the student body.
Now one hundred years later, The Setonian continues to thrive with the inclusion of digital formats. To honor this monumental anniversary, Seton Hall University is hosting a Centennial celebration on March 19, 2024. Current Setonian staff and their families, along with Seton Hall staff and faculty are invited to attend this tremendous occasion to commemorate their dedication to the student body for the last century; reflecting on the beginning of this journey, to the ever-growing present success, and the yet untold future it will have in years to come. Food and drinks will be served.
“Get behind the paper, and it will live; neglect your duty and it will soon pass into oblivion,” - The Setonian, March 15, 1924.
