Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with Gabrielle Civil, a Black feminist performance artist, author, and poet. Civil will give a keynote and read from her latest book, In & Out of Place. Published in 2022, the book combines diary entries, images, performance texts, critical commentary, and more to explore what it means to be both in and out of place. There will be a book signing following the event.
