Day of Giving - Student Investment Fund

The Scripps Student Investment Fund was founded in 1972 with a $50,000 gift from former trustee Mary Wig ’35, whose intention was to create a club where Scripps students could increase their financial literacy and directly engage in financial markets.

📈 Manage a growing portfolio: Since its genesis, our portfolio has reached over $600,000 through careful and attentive management from its dedicated fund members.

💡 Empower breakthroughs: Through cultivating a community of mentorship and dedicated preprofessional support, SIF members gain the expertise, network, and experience to stand out in competitive job markets.

💰 Give back to our community: We allocate 2–6% of our portfolio to support student clubs, including the Asian American Sponsor Program, Women & Minority Voices in STEM, The Claremont Colleges Ski and Snowboard Team, and The Scripps Voice.
