At Scripps College, art fuels innovation. In the ceramics studio, students transform clay into vessels of self expression and critical analysis—but to do so, they need the right tools.

For Day of Giving, we invite you to support Scripps’ Department of Art. We’re raising funds for a new extruder—a vital tool that makes ceramics more accessible to all students, regardless of physical ability or experience. Replacing our broken extruder will open new possibilities in the studio, including integration with our new Digital Fabrication Lab, where students can design intricate, reproducible ceramic forms.
