Gifts to Designed Objects contribute to...
Making personal connections and gaining professional experience outside of the classroom is vital to student success in SAICβs Designed Objects program and vastly beneficial to their future careers. This Giving Day, your support will fund student participation at leading industry events and engagements within and beyond Chicago, making it possible for more students to showcase their work and meet fellow designers.
Additionally, gifts to the SAIC Designed Objects Department Fund support:
- Registration fees for students to attend the South by Southwest Interactive Festival
- Providing tools such as VR headsets to ensure students stay aligned with current industry practices
- Exhibiting at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair
- Maintaining and improving on-campus spaces such as the Advanced Output Center
SAICβs Designed Objects program is unique in the educational landscape, transcending the parameters of most industrial design programs to teach students the skills to imagine meaningful objects and systems as well as emboldening them to experiment with the boundaries of βdesignβ itself. Visit SAICβs website to learn more about our Architecture, Interior Architecture & Designed Objects department.
