College of Arts and Letters
Founded in 1969, the College of Arts and Letters (CAL) is the largest college at San Diego State University and a vibrant hub for learning, discovery, and innovation. With 19 departments, 14 interdisciplinary programs, and 27 centers and institutes, CAL touches the lives of thousands of students every year. Your support makes it possible for us to go beyond the classroom—fueling faculty research that inspires new ways of thinking, shaping innovative curriculum, and preparing undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. At CAL, we empower students to explore who they are and how they can make a difference. Through global, interdisciplinary, and creative experiences, our students learn to apply knowledge in meaningful ways that benefit our communities and our future. When you give to CAL, you invest directly in the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders.
