Help Us Celebrate Our Journey Into Nursing! 🩺💙

The ELMSN Case Management Class of 2027 and ELMSN Family Nurse Practitioner Class of 2028 at Samuel Merritt University’s Oakland Campus are approaching an exciting milestone in our nursing journey! As we prepare to complete the Registered Nursing (RN) portion of our program and celebrate our pinning ceremony, we are also preparing to transition into our respective graduate pathways in Case Management (CM) and Family Nurse Practice (FNP).

What began as a group of 38 students from different backgrounds and walks of life has grown into a close-knit community united by a shared goal: becoming nurses who lead with compassion, advocate for their patients, and make a lasting impact on the communities they serve.

Throughout this first chapter of our nursing journey, we have experienced the highs and lows of an accelerated program together. From early morning clinicals and long nights preparing for exams to moments of laughter, encouragement, and shared accomplishments, each experience has shaped us both personally and professionally. Along the way, we’ve learned that some of the most valuable lessons come not only from textbooks and clinical experiences, but also from the people who have stood beside us. As we prepare to take different paths, we will carry these connections, memories, and lessons with us into the next chapter of our careers.

As we prepare to go our separate ways to pursue our respective graduate specialties, we hope to commemorate the journey that brought us together.

To celebrate this milestone, we are raising funds to purchase personalized cohort nursing jackets, approximately $110 each, that will serve as a lasting reminder of our shared experiences, friendships, and accomplishments. These jackets represent more than just clothing. They symbolize the unity, resilience, and sense of community we have built throughout this chapter of our nursing education.

Your generosity will help offset the cost of these jackets and make this meaningful keepsake more accessible to all 38 members of our cohort.
