Samford Parents Scholarship 2025

Jadyn Fenton grew up with a dream of attending Samford University. The daughter of a Samford alumna, she attended numerous events on campus and when the time came for her to apply to colleges, Samford was her first and only choice.

As a single parent, Jadyn’s mom worked three jobs to provide for her children. A sudden change in income created a perfect storm for Jadyn and her family in deciding how she and her two siblings would continue in their collegiate studies. Jadyn shared that her mom has always reminded them that where God calls us, He provides. Through the blessing of the Samford Parents Scholarship, Jadyn graduated this spring with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Since its inception in 2016, the Samford Parents Scholarship has supported 24 students who experience unexpected financial hardship and need additional assistance to complete their Samford degree. Each gift provides hope and encouragement for these students amidst their challenging circumstances, and it demonstrates the unique level of love and support provided by the Samford family!
