Gifts to MFA in Creative Writing Scholarships for International Writers contribute to...
For nearly 30 years, the Saint Mary's College MFA in Creative Writing program has nurtured more than 300 emerging literary artists who have enriched the collective imagination with their stories and voices. Many of our most promising emerging writers have been students from around the globe.
Beginning next year, our goal is to award scholarships to even more international writers—with particular attention to artists coming from countries where freedom of expression is under threat. These scholarships will empower international writers to come to the United States, study with our award-winning faculty, and hone their literary craft to tell vital stories from around the world.
All gifts will be matched by the MFA in Creative Writing program, and 100% of those funds will go directly to cover tuition costs for the next generation of international writers and Saint Mary's College.
Today we've been celebrating One Day One SMC across campus, and from our mobile devices and desktop computers. You have made this giving day challenge a success by joining, giving, and sharing about our 24-hour giving challenge.
