Gifts to The Meelia Center for Community Engagement's Access Academy Program contribute to...
Access Academy is an after-school academic initiative empowering Manchester high school students who are often underrepresented in higher education, including those from low-income backgrounds, first-generation college-bound students, diverse communities, and students not living at home.
Through college student-led courses, participants gain essential academic skills, mentorship, and career exploration opportunities, all while earning high school credits. Courses range from financial literacy and science to photography, theater, and personal development.
More than just academics, Access Academy fosters lasting friendships, confidence, and a sense of possibility. Your support helps cover program costs and enables students to access transformative educational and mentoring experiences while connecting with the Manchester community.

"Being able to take part in Access Academy has pushed me as a person and a leader by giving me the opportunity to connect with others and help the students grow, learn, and develop. When I was part of the program as a high school student, it really helped me feel more confident and supported and now being able to do the same for others showed me how much of a difference guidance and encouragement can make. It has also taught me the value of teamwork, communication, and stepping up when it matters."
