Sacred Heart Academy is a small school in Grand Rapids with a big vision for Catholic education. We were re-founded as a Catholic classical academy in 2014 and have been serving the West Side of Grand Rapids for 114 years. We have 10 days to reach 114 donors - one for each year! We need your help!
Your gift supports our mission to assist families, form Catholics, and cultivate culture through:
- Funding scholarships for 147 students who receive tuition assistance
- Providing for our 3 Religious Sisters from the community that served Pope St. John Paul II's household, The Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
- Equipping our team of 38 faculty members with ongoing formation
- Putting great books in the hands of our 317 students
- Offering a quality classical curriculum (Our 12th graders received the highest class average in the nation on the Classic Learning Test!)
At the close of the 2013-14 school year the Academy had 69 students, now enrollment stands at 317 - an increase of 359% in 4 years! The academy has drawn families from all over West Michigan to its full time and homeschool enrichment programs.
Our community is engaged, active, welcoming, and unabashedly Catholic. We strive to keep our gaze on Christ, and He has blessed us! As Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati says, "If you have God at the center of your action, you will be successful."
