Support the Park Interpretation & Management Club
Each year, the South Dakota Parks & Recreation Association (SDPRA) hosts a statewide conference attended by employers and professionals across the parks and recreation field. In 2025, the Park Interpretation & Management (PIM) Club sent five members to the conference, with one member earning the SDPRA Student Scholarship.
This conference provides valuable opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals, hear from inspiring speakers such as Coach Stiegelmeier, and explore potential career paths. It also allows members to build relationships with future employers and network with others who share their passion for parks and recreation.
Beyond professional development, attending the conference plays an important role in the club’s long-term sustainability, as members are able to engage with organizations and entities that support student involvement.
Funds raised will help cover travel, lodging, meals, and conference registration fees, making the experience more accessible to students. In 2026, the PIM Club hopes to double participation and send even more members to this impactful event.
