Supporting Children and Families Through Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Mission

Alpha Xi Delta is committed to the pillars of Service, Knowledge, Leadership, and Sisterhood. As a chapter, we strive to promote these values in every member by fostering personal and professional development.

To do this we volunteer at the Foster Network in Sioux Falls to support The Closet, which provides clothing, school supplies, and personal care items for children in foster care; The Assistance, which offers scholarships and practical support for children and families; and The Support, which connects foster families with community resources and support networks. Every semester we host fundraising events that get the campus involved with our philanthropic focus.

Other ways we help our members realize their potential are creating a support system for each other to lean on, promoting academic excellence through planned study tables and academic achievement incentives, and bringing in speakers to teach about conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and substance abuse awareness.
