The Bonner Leadership Program is a four-year program based upon various principles such as social justice, global perspectives, and professional development. Each year, 10 to 14 first-year students are chosen—typically with previous community service experience—to form a Bonner Leader cohort before the start of each fall semester. Each member receives a $3,000 yearly scholarship from Rollins. Those selected as Bonner Leaders work eight to 10 volunteer hours a week, assisting over 30 community nonprofit organizations in the greater Orlando area.
Gifts made during Student Philanthropy Week will support students’ "Summer of Service," a program requirement that each Bonner must complete before graduation. Additional funding means we would be able to support more student internships globally, a unique and wider-reaching scope that isn’t currently available.
