On Rollins Giving Day, supporting Theatre and Dance is an investment in creativity, collaboration, and experiential learning. Gifts designated for theatre and dance programming help students transform ideas into performance, building skills that extend far beyond the stage.
Through rehearsals, productions, and creative partnerships, Theatre and Dance students develop confidence, discipline, and the ability to communicate powerful stories. Past Giving Day support has funded major production upgrades, from projection technology to state-of-the-art sound systems—and our goal for the Annie Russell Theatre's 93rd season is to complete that work by providing enough microphones for every actor in every production!
This year, when 93 donors give to Friends of Theatre & Dance, Trustee Sally K. Albrecht ’76, her husband Jay Althouse, and Alec ’77 and Aimee Scribner will donate $10,000 to Rollins theatre and dance programming, amplifying the impact of gifts made in support of student artists—and getting us closer to 24 new microphones.
