For this year's #GivingTuesdayNow we're joining the worldwide generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. This pandemic may have sent all our students home, but it hasn’t stopped us from being the Robert Morris University you know and love. We’re still working diligently to ensure that our students get through this semester with the same quality education they’d have on campus.
Unfortunately though, we’ve found that many of our students are now facing other obstacles they’d never dreamed of - from traveling home, food insecurity, technology needs, and unexpected medical bills - these and other issues may prevent a student from completing their degree. The Student Emergency Fund has been diverted to assist students who've taken on a burden from this pandemic.
This Giving Tuesday we’re asking that the RMU community help our students during this unprecedented and ever-changing crisis by giving to the Student Emergency Fund.
Thanks for your generosity and go Colonials!
The RMU family is always there for each other, through good times and bad.
Members of the Robert Morris University community are helping in the fight against coronavirus in many ways. Alumni on the front lines in healthcare are bravely working to save lives. Faculty and staff who are donating medical supplies and joining coalitions to research the disease.
And with their contributions to the Student Emergency Fund, alumni are helping current students faced with urgent financial difficulties. The fund has already provided airfare for five students and a bus ticket for another to return home, and is stocking the campus food pantry for those still remaining and any needy students who live off campus.
Let’s share our Colonial Pride and get through this together. Post your message of support with #RMUtogether and see them all at rmu.edu/RMUtogether.
Share your own story. Recognize an alum making an important contribution. Give words of encouragement to this year’s graduating class, or a favorite professor, or a shoutout to a student-athlete.
